The FLEETWATCH® Fluid Management System
is made up of many individual components each performing a unique task that is important to
the rest of the system. This section begins with a brief explanation of each part in the
Fluid Management System. |

SYSTEMController Server
The FLEETWATCH® SYSTEMController is a very powerful combination of hardware and software that provides reliable and accurate real-time control and data acquisition for vehicles, employees, fuel/fluids and tank monitor systems. The data
collected by the SYSTEMController may be used to track vehicle mileage, monitor
fuel and fluid usage, schedule preventive maintenance, reconcile fluids, etc.
The SYSTEMController can then use this data to generate dozens of useful reports
and/or automatically pass it along to a VMS system in real-time or at specified times of the day.
The SYSTEMController hardware and software are designed with both the harsh environment of public transit agencies and the diversity of municipalities in mind. The special system hardware may be adapted to almost any environment or
configuration. The scalability of SYSTEMController hardware makes it capable of accepting nearly limitless data inputs and controlling large numbers of flows and devices.
The versatility of the SYSTEMController allows any combination of control/data
capture modes. For example, a facility with two service lanes, three maintenance bays and a non-revenue fueling area might have a Remote Island Head (RIH) Unit
in each service lane configured in "single lane mode", a single RIH Unit configured in "select bay mode" to control and monitor all three maintenance bays and an RIH Unit configured in "select hose mode" for the non-revenue service position.
The power and flexibility of the FLEETWATCH® SYSTEMController is virtually limitless.

Data Tools
The FLEETWATCH® Data Tools is a user-friendly, web-browser based front end designed to interface with data stored in an SQL database by the FLEETWATCH® System Monitor Software. New browser based technology allows a single centrally located server to service an entire transit agency without the need to install any remote software.
The Data Tools allows users to view and edit data related to the FLEETWATCH® Fluid Management SYSTEM without accessing confusing and cumbersome tables or configuration files. Users can also run standard and custom reports, reconcile fuel and fluids, and monitor activity at any remote location. The software divides the overwhelming task of managing and monitoring personnel and equipment into a few convenient categories.

Model 3000R Remote Island Head
The RIH 3000R controls and monitors valves, pulsers, FR55 units, and vehicle detector to automatically count and compile complete servicing records.
The RIH 3000 also has optional stand-alone capability. Return to System Diagram. |

Model JX55 J1708/1939 Data Logger
The FLEETWATCH Model JX55 Data Recorder connects to an existing SAE J1708/J1939 connector on a vehicle.
Mileage, Engine Hours, Idle Hours and more can be collected and reported on demand to a wayside receiver station (FR55).
The vehicle engine and transmission must have electronics necessary to output the requested information through
the J1708/J1939 connector. The JX55 unit is programmed with the vehicle number.
If your vehicles do not have an existing J1708/J1939 connector, the following options are also available for automatic
capture of Vehicle ID, Mileage, Engine Hours and Idle Hours:
Model ST55 Speedometer Tap Module
The ST55 connects to the vehicle speedometer to record mileage, engine hours and idle hours and transmit them
to the FR55.
Model GP55 GPS Mileage Module
The GP55 records mileage, engine hours and idle hours and transmits them to the FR55 mounted in the service lane.

Model FR55 Fixed Mount Receiver
The Model FR55 Fixed Mount Receiver (FR55) is a
small module designed to capture vehicle ID, mileage and other J1708 data from Model JX55 J1708 Data Loggers
via radio frequency transmission. The FR55 is mounted in the service lane and is connected to the RIH3000.
The FR55s only job is to capture vehicle information from the Model JX55, ST55 or GP55 and pass it along
to the RIH3000.

Model MR55 Mobile Receiver
The Model MR55 Mobile Receiver
is a portable hand-held device used as an optional means to transfer, display, and store vehicle number
and mileage from Model JX55/ST55/GP55 Data Loggers. The MR55 may also be used to program vehicle
information into the Series 55 data loggers using built-in programming software.

Tank Level Monitor
The Tank Level Monitor
interfaces are available to Veeder Root, Gilbarco, and other tank monitoring systems. These allow
the FLEETWATCH System to request and record tank level data from an existing Tank Level Monitor.
This data may then be used to reconcile the tank data with the service data collected by the FLEETWATCH System.

Computer Network
The FLEETWATCH system can transfer data across a host computer network to synchronize data between multiple facilities, or to
run service activity and diagnostic reports from a remote computer located anywhere on the host network.. Return to System Diagram. |
